No Quarter Update

So alex and i are currently crunching for pax10 and Indiecade. the goal is to have No Quarter in working order for both but our primary focus this week has been on Alpha Red (known as gun in older posts), or track 1 on the No Quarter album.

Alex recently added some AI to the enemies and the game has taken a very action packed direction as of late. The game currently runs on a deeper physics engine then Alex made for Gish, its hard for me not to be very excited about this game... its a very dynamic game, and we are doing our best to come up with more gameplay mechanics that will complement this style.

it blows my mind that no one has done a physics based shooter like this before.. it seems like shooters hit a wall with Metal Slug.

anyway i was working on the title screen for our beta and thought id post what im working on. ill try and posts some up to date gameplay videos once the pax10 beta is finished. The goal is to have No Quarter done by june, so we can jump on to Gish 2 Full time, we shall see how it goes :).

Oh also Tim from Braid is going to be in Super Meat Boy.
